Alabama Rays Sign Tuscaloosa County Standouts Chadarius Hutchins and AnDarius McClain

Northport, Alabama / CRWE Press Release / March 3, 2026 — The Alabama Rays are proud to announce the official signing of Tuscaloosa County High School standouts Chadarius Hutchins and AnDarius McClain. Both athletes have signed their National Letters of Intent to join the Rays for the 2026 season as part of the National Junior College Prep (NJCP) Football League.
Chadarius Hutchins (RB) joins the Rays’ backfield after a productive tenure at Tuscaloosa County, where he proved to be a consistent and efficient athlete. Finishing second on his team in rushing yards per game (38.1), Hutchins tallied 305 yards on 62 carries over the season, maintaining an impressive average of 4.9 yards per carry.
AnDarius McClain (DE/OLB) brings a versatile presence to the defensive side of the ball. Known for his length and speed off the edge, McClain’s ability to disrupt the pocket and shut down the run will anchor the defense for the brand-new Alabama Rays roster.

As members of the Alabama Rays, Hutchins and McClain will compete in NJCP’s East vs West conference championship at the end of the season, giving them direct exposure to making their way up to the next level of football.
