Assistant Head Coach/ Offensive Coordinator/ Running Backs • Birmingham Bears
With 17 years of coaching experience in the state of Alabama, Eddie Hall has established himself as one of the most innovative and respected offensive minds in the region. Currently serving as Assistant Head Coach and Offensive Coordinator for the Birmingham Bears, Hall brings a relentless offensive philosophy built on preparation, precision, and pressure from sideline to sideline.
Throughout his career, Hall has demonstrated a consistent ability to elevate programs and maximize player potential. He spent seven seasons at Sipsey Valley High School as Offensive Coordinator and Running Backs Coach, helping lead the program to its first winning season and first playoff appearance in school history. During his four-year tenure at American Christian Academy, Hall helped guide the team to just four regular-season losses while averaging over 40 points per game. At West Blocton High School, he engineered the most statistically productive passing season in school history. As Head Coach at North River Christian Academy, he led the program to its first win in over two years, establishing a renewed standard of competitiveness. Hall’s coaching experience also includes time at Stillman College (Running Backs Coach), Holt High School (Offensive Coordinator/Quarterbacks Coach), West Blocton High School (Offensive Coordinator/Running Backs Coach), Birmingham Prep (Offensive Coordinator), Huffman High School (Offensive Coordinator/Quarterbacks Coach), and American Christian Academy (Running Backs Coach).
Over the course of his career, Hall has overseen the development of more than 20 student-athletes who have earned scholarships across the country — a testament to his commitment to both performance and player development. A former standout athlete, Hall was rated the No. 3 overall athlete in the state of Alabama in 1998 while attending Homewood High School. He finished his high school career as an All-State running back and Alabama Player of the Week as a senior. Hall went on to play collegiate football at Stillman College before a shoulder injury forced an early conclusion to his playing career. Coach Hall’s offensive identity is defined by calculated aggression and relentless tempo. His system is designed to stress defenses at every level, attacking space before opponents recognize where the pressure is coming from. Often described as a “quiet genius” by peers, Hall is known for his ability to identify defensive vulnerabilities and exploit them with precision. More importantly, he is known by his players simply as “Coach.”
A true players’ coach, Hall believes development extends far beyond the field. His core philosophy — “Become the smartest person in the room, then go find a room you can learn in” — reflects both his commitment to mastery and his humility as a lifelong student of the game. Hall’s offensive influences include concepts and philosophies studied from coaches such as Steve Sarkisian, Lane Kiffin, Lincoln Riley, Tony Ford, and Gavin Grant. By blending innovation with discipline, he continues to build offenses that are dynamic, efficient, and relentlessly competitive.
