Robert Etheridge is an Alexandria, Louisiana native and graduate of Bolton High School.. He holds 22 years of teaching and coaching experience. Specializing on the defensive side of the ball, he has 6A coaching experience in Texas at Klein Collin High School where he helped coach the Tigers to Multiple District titles and playoff runs. In addition he brings 5A experience from Waltrip High School, in Houston independent School District where he was key in helping the Rams compete for a district title and make the playoffs. He also has defensive coordinator experience at Long Reach High School in Columbia Maryland and Rayne High School in Acadia Parish, LA where help helped both teams advance to the playoffs. As a Defensive coordinator, he has never led a team that hasn’t qualified for the post season.

Dr. Etheridge holds an Ed.D in Organizational Leadership and a M.A. in teaching from Grand Canyon University. He earned his B.S. in physical education from Middle Tennessee State University. His dissertation entitled, Intrinsic and Extrinsic Factors That Motivate Black Males to Attend Institutions of Higher Education, was successfully defended and published in 2013.

Dr. Etheridge also has High School, Junior College and professional Track and Field coaching experience. He has coached numerous High School State Champions. He was the Sprints and Jumps Coach at Howard Community College who won a 2013 NJCAAIII National Title. In addition, he has coached multiple Division I Signees and in 2013 he coached the short sprinters and jumpers on HCC's National Championship team. In 2012 he was the personal coach of U.S. Indoor Nationals 60m finalist and Olympic Trials Qualifier Phil DeRosier.

As a Division I Track and Field athlete, Dr. Etheridge played Defensive Back at Northwestern State University and Ran track for both NSU and Middle Tennessee State University. In total, he was a part 4 conference championship teams and coached by two of the Nation’s top collegiate coaches, Dean Hayes and Dean Johnson. Dr. Etheridge was the 2000 USA Junior National Long Jump Champion and represented the U.S. on the international scene in Canada, Mexico and South America. Furthermore, Dr. Etheridge is also a member of the prestigious fraternity, Omega Psi Phi. He was inducted in 2001 through the undergraduate chapter of Theta Delta.
