Coach Alvin Agee – Defensive Backs Coach
Birmingham native Alvin Agee joins the Birmingham Bears as Defensive Backs Coach, bringing a strong background in coaching, player development, and talent management.
A 2003 graduate of John Carroll Catholic High School, Agee went on to play collegiate football at the University of West Alabama and Faulkner University, where he competed at defensive end and middle linebacker while studying exercise science.
Agee is the founder of Athletic Engineering, a performance training and talent management organization established in 2020 to develop athletes and create exposure opportunities. He has facilitated numerous combines and pro days and has helped athletes advance to both collegiate and professional levels, including placements at the University of West Alabama.
His coaching experience includes serving as an assistant with Birmingham Sports Academy. He is the current Head Coach of the Tri-City Rivergators (AAL2) for the 2025–2026 seasons. He has also coached at the USMC Sports Leadership Academy in 2024 and 2025.
In addition, Agee serves as a Talent Management Consultant for the North Louisiana Football Alliance (NLFA) and has scouted for multiple arena and developmental teams. He has also facilitated international combines and managed athletes for Mexico’s Liga de Fútbol Americano Profesional (LFA) and Fútbol Americano de México (FAM), while helping place athletes with professional indoor and arena organizations.
Coach Agee specializes in developing defensive backs and defensive linemen and is currently pursuing certification as an NIL agent. With a track record of developing talent for collegiate, professional, and international play, Coach Agee instills the skills, discipline, and mindset elite athletes need to succeed.
