Anthony Givins

Coach Anthony Givins is an accomplished educator and head coach with more than three decades of experience, demonstrating sustained success at the high school, collegiate, and professional levels. A graduate of Lakewood High School (Class of 1986), Coach Givins has built a career grounded in athletic excellence, academic achievement, and character development.

Coach Givins’ accolades include induction into the Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College Hall of Fame in 2018 and the University of Faith College Hall of Fame in 2013. In 2016, he was named Gatorade Coach of the Year while coaching U.S. Olympian Trayvon Bromell. Earlier in his career, he played a key role in Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College’s national football championship in 1986.

In Pinellas County, Coach Givins most recently served as Head Coach of JV Football, compiling an outstanding 28–1 record. As Assistant Varsity Head Coach and Offensive Coordinator at Gibbs High School, he consistently developed student-athletes who earned both athletic and academic scholarships. Under his leadership, teams secured district championships and regional runner-up finishes while maintaining strong academic standards. In 2011, as Offensive Coordinator at Admiral Farragut Academy, he led the varsity football team to the State Championship game.

Coach Givins began his coaching career in Pinellas County in 1992, where he made history as the second African American and youngest head baseball coach in the district. In that role, he guided teams to district and regional championships while fostering an inclusive, disciplined, and high-performance environment.

Beyond competitive athletics, Coach Givins is deeply committed to community service. He is the founder and president of the Silver Raiders Little League Football program and previously served as Assistant Program Director for the Special Olympics program at Sanford University, reflecting a lifelong dedication to mentorship and community impact. In 2022-2024 A.Givins Accepted Head Coaching job with the Dallas Outlaws arena Professional football 2022-2024.

Coach Givins holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Physical Education and Recreation from Midland University. He is a certified K–12 Physical Education teacher and holds Driver Education Instructor certifications in both Florida and Oklahoma.
