SAN ANTONIO, Texas / CRWE Press Release / June 12, 2026 — Ahead of the upcoming 2026 gridiron season, the San Antonio Vipers have officially unveiled their complete athletic infrastructure, player housing tracks, and finalized competition schedule. Backed and funded by the NJCP National Football League and led by Head Coach Donald Sweeney, the Vipers program is built on a foundation of discipline, toughness, and relentless passion, offering student-athletes a highly structured environment to develop their skills and advance their careers.
With the 2026 game schedule already locked in, the program is transitioning into final roster preparations and housing allocations for incoming players.
The Hub of Viper Nation: Dedicated Athletic Facilities
The center of daily team operations is the official Viper Fieldhouse. Serving as the functional hub for the roster, the fieldhouse coordinates all essential daily routines outside of game days, housing the head coach's offices and dedicated spaces for:
- Team tutoring and character mentoring
- film study and strategic meetings
- Intensive Strength workouts and indoor team practices
Located just a short walking distance from the fieldhouse is the Whitley Heights Sports Complex, a modern stadium facility where all Vipers home games will take place. The complex features a massive synthetic turf field, large stadium bleachers for fans, and full locker room facilities equipped with showers. Beyond the regular season, the stadium will host future elementary, middle school, and high school football camps, where Viper Nation players will serve as active mentors for local youth.
Structured Student Housing Pathways: Limited Availability
To ensure team cohesion and player accountability, the program has secured two distinct student housing options. Both pathways feature limited availability and require immediate action:
- The Lofts at Creek View (Priority Track): Players who complete their application process and fulfill their commitment fees by the end of June will receive placement in this newly constructed apartment complex.
- Layout & Features: Fully refurnished 2-and-3-bedroom units accommodating two players per bedroom. Units feature two full bathrooms, in-unit washers and dryers, and a modern kitchen equipped with granite countertops, an island, stainless steel appliances, and built-in microwaves.
- Amenities & Community Rules: The complex includes an outdoor courtyard, a swimming pool, a resident mailroom, a conference room for meetings, a dedicated media room for film study, and a fitness room that will be fully equipped prior to player move-in. The units offer direct balcony views of the nearby Frost Bank complex.
- Accountability Policies: To maintain team standards, a strict zero-tolerance policy against smoking of any kind (inside units, courtyards, or parking lots) and unauthorized parties is strictly enforced. All residential compliance issues are routed directly to Head Coach Sweeney.
- Houston Street Town Homes: Delivering a spacious secondary track, this complex features two-story, 3-bedroom townhomes configured for two players per bedroom.
- Layout & Features: Each unit includes two bathrooms, decent-sized dual closets per bedroom, a fenced patio, a fully equipped kitchen with appropriate student housing furnishings, and an in-unit washer and dryer set.
- Additional Assets: Residents receive access to a private pool, a workout gym, and a community clubhouse. Attached one-car garages are available within the community (additional usage fees apply).
